Breathe in Yoga, Yoga in Breath

Looking at the sky today, I wondered why is it, a deep breath comes in when we look up?!! There wasn't an answer. But I know there is an answer which my limited mind cannot comprehend at the moment. Sigh..!! ** Thou O -Enlightenment, empower me soonest!! **

Yoga is a way of living for me, most of the day though! Few days still I stay without that way of living and believe me I know it's wrong! Any guesses how? - Because every time I do it, I experience its new level of depth! Today after doing two rounds of Padm Sadhana I experienced how beautifully the breath helped me at each stage.

How many people reflect on the fact that - "without a slightest effort by one, breath runs life for each living being?!" Contemplate how great this power packet can be, if we direct/ channelize and put little effort in rhythmic way can bring what results?! I tell you, it will be humongous and far from your imagination at this moment. In YOGA when we align poses in the rhythm of the breath, the Asanas are more stable, longer and slowly you will find that breath is taking you deeper into the posture, without much effort from you. Which in turn releases stress and brings more and more relaxation.

Sri Sri Ravishankar says - "Yoga, Pranayama and Meditation can heal everything", I have experienced deep healing with sessions of Yoga followed by a guided meditation, and to my surprise each time it does wonder! Experience the liberation from negative emotions and chain of unwanted thoughts, give yourself a 15 min power pack yoga session finishing with a joyful meditation. Do share your experiences, it makes me rich!

Happy Breathing and Stretching!!

Yoga, really means what?!!

When I started this life, I actually stumbled upon the fact that my body needs something more than eating, sleeping and dancing. What was that something? It came to me at the age of 22, via a dear friend. He said do you do Yoga? I actually would have wanted to look at Google if it was that popular then, and I had a smart phone! ;-)

Then Yoga meant certain postures in which one can feel the stretch, or pain if I may say so!! Unless you feel the "I can't do it" moment, you are actually doing it wrong! And a myth broke!! What I got enlighten into is something very relaxing, little stretch for long term pleasure and utmost to be at peace as Yoga! ***It's actually a Union of Body-Mind-Soul*** :-) and what an only experience driven reality it is!! And Yoga combined with Breathing exercises and Praanayama is a truly lethal combination!!

Yoga makes the body light and mind calm, most of the time both are busy being lethargic and grumbling respectively. A great idea is to start light and move step by step to advance level of Yoga postures. It is ALSO very important to couple the culmination of your yoga session with Meditation, why I say so, you can understand only through experience. I can speak volumes about it, but it's not of much use, if you are not going to do it! Meditation is a deeper than deepest rest your body-mind-soul complex can have. It can't be compared, as their actually is nothing that can come close let alone being equal...!! .. !

So let's BEGIN! Start with base of simple and light stretches. The Butterfly Pose, Chair Pose, Neck Rotations, Cat Stretch, they will make the base right. "Sthiram Sukham Asanam", says my Sri Sri Yoga instructor, stillness in postures brings subtle happiness.

My MASTER (GURU) says: "Yoga takes you close to your true nature. Yoga with its techniques helps you to harmonize with nature. Peace is our very nature, and yoga leads you to inner peace".
